The Swan Market was a great success! Especially my lamps got a lot of attention. I talked to a lot of people and handed out a lot of cards. Even the weather was great, nice and sunny all day. Music in the background...


First I have to wait and see if this day results in orders, but I certainly want to do this again.

crocheted lamps for the US

Last week, I finally got my 110 volts bulbs from the US. For a while I'm trying to make my crocheted lamps suitable for the US market. Since the voltage in the Netherlands is 220 volts and in the US 110, I can not use the same bulbs. After a lot of searching and mailing I have found almost the same globe light bulbs in 110 volts. The only difference is that the straight part is a bit shorter, it doesn't have the wider part. Etsy buyers can now choose with every lamp listing what voltage their lamp must have.

Through my Etsyshop I get a lot of questions about the possibilities of my lamps. So today I'll explain them. I have a ceiling pendant lamp and a plug in pendant lamp . - The ceiling pendant lamp comes with a crocheted ceiling canopy. The electrical connection is suitable for both 110 volts and 220 volts. - The plug in pendant lamp has a plug with a switch. The plug is suitable for a standard Dutch sockets, for other types of socket you will need an adaptor. For a lot of countries you can order adaptors with me, just ask. Both lamps can be ordered with: - a 110 volts CFL energy saver lightbulb (mainly for the US and Canada) or - a 220 volts CFL energy saver lightbulb (the rest of the world). - a cord in any length. The ceiling pendant is listed with a standard cord length of 1 meter and the plug in pendant with a cord length of 3 meters, but anything is possible. - and in 17 colours. Usually you can expect about 3 blogs a week from me. But I'm so busy right now that it's just not possible. I'm also going on my holiday next Saturday, so I decided to give blogging a little break.
