Swan Market 2

The Swan Market was a great success! Especially my lamps got a lot of attention. I talked to a lot of people and handed out a lot of cards. Even the weather was great, nice and sunny all day. Music in the background...


First I have to wait and see if this day results in orders, but I certainly want to do this again.

magazine: 101 woonideeën

In June, the Dutch magazine 101 woonideeën, comes with a nice crochetspecial; Happy crocheting, 24 pages of crochetfun for beginners and experts. The basics of crocheting is briefly explained and for the ones who cannot crochet (yet), there are some shoppingpages with online shops selling the most diverse crocheted products. My knobs and lamp are also nicely represented. This promotion has exellent timing since the whole month of Juni is  #etsylokaal , were I, and also a lot of other Dutch Etsysellers, will ship for free in the Netherlands.

crochet artist: Susanna Bauer

This week the blog is about crochet artists. Artists who use the delicacy of crochet and the inspiration of nature to create the most beautiful pieces of art. Today I'm going to start with Susanna Bauer , who combines very fine crochet with natural materials like stone, pieces of wood and dried leaves. I especially love her 2D work with dried leaves. Sometimes crochet is used as an embellishment, but mostly it is used in a constructional way. Crocheting pieces of leaf together or filling in holes. Although very small, they are true pieces of art.
